Lip blushing is a cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance the natural beauty of the lip area. Using colored pigment, the lip blush technique aims to improve the shape of the lip, ultimately helping to create the illusion of fuller, more defined lips without the need for fillers.
However, for those with darker, hyper-pigmented lips, the lip blushing technique is not always a viable option.
Melanin Rich Lip Neutralization is a specialized treatment for those with cool, or dark-toned, lips. It is a procedure often performed on clients with darker skin tones or those whose lips have darkened over time due to weather conditions, hyperpigmentation, or underlying medical issues.
It involves using neutralizing ink pigments to balance darker tones and enhance the natural lip shape, color, and symmetry. While regular lip blushing requires 2 sessions, melanin rich lips neutralization is a process that might take up to 4-6 treatments, depending on the goal.
Healing process is a little different than Lip blushing as well. Right after appointment your lips will look warm/orangy/sunset color. You might develop temporary hyper/hypo pigmentation during the first couple weeks and sessions are spaced at least 8-12 weeks apart.
